Not all affiliate programs are successful, despite what may be said. You must stand out from all of the competition in order to take advantage of what opportunity exists. Money won’t come easily. You will have to work for every penny.
Find A Niche
Do not use “sporting goods”. This category is too competitive, as it is too large. Use, for example, “lures for fresh-water bass fishing” as a smaller niche, instead.
Get Traffic to Your Site
There are many techniques for bringing more traffic to your website. It’s wise to select three or less, strategies for your main plan.
“Free traffic” You can still succeed with natural search rankings through good design and hard work. To accomplish this, unique content that has quality and is updated often is required. Try to get as many links from other websites as you can. When using an affiliate program, however, you won’t have much of a chance of submitting to directories because most directories do not allow affiliate sites.
Or you could buy traffic for your site. This is known a PPC (Pay Per Click), and is the simple system of paying a search engine for each visitor they send your way.
Get Your Email List Built
Offer a bonus, say free ebooks, or a free course to visitors to your website to accomplish this. By doing this, you will have access to their email address.
It is critical have an opt-in/ opt-out program (for people to either join or leave your email list). You want to avoid being considered a spammer. Remove someone immediately if they ask to taken off your list.
Spread out the sending of your emails over a period of days. Refrain from emailing every person on your list every day. You will become annoying if you are too pushy. Try to send out newsletters no more than weekly or monthly.
